Here Are The Best Natural Hacks for Hay Fever. You Will Love Them!

Spring is here, yay! I love spring; the warmer weather, the upbeat of things. The only thing I don't like about it is that it comes with Hay Fever. But don't stress, there are few things we can do to avoid getting one or reducing the symptoms if we get one.

Weather Alert

Be alert of what the upcoming weather will be. Monitor the wind rate and the pollen count. When it gets windy and the pollen count is high, try to stay indoors with your windows shut. If you need to be outside on days like this, cover your eyes with sunnies and wear a hat. I used to cover my nose and mouth with a handkerchief, but now that a mask is widely used and accepted, use that to avoid the pollen getting into your respiratory system. Avoid gardening and lawn mowing on windy days.

Hand and Face Washing

Wash your hand and face more frequently, to minimise the amount of pollen carried away during the day.

Avoid touching eyes

The easiest for pollens to get into your system is through your eyes. Therefore avoid unnecessary eye touching or rubbing, it can exacerbate the hay fever very quickly and badly.

Load up on Garlic, Ginger, Lemon, Honey and Herbal Tea

Strengthen your immune system from the inside. Consume lots and lots and lots of natural immune magic ingredients, Garlic and Ginger. Lemon and Honey will strengthen your respiratory system. Herbal teas will keep you warm and nourished.

Essential Oils

I find inhaling Essential Oils now and then helps with reducing the symptom of hay fever. I especially love Peppermint and Eucalyptus, the minty scent easily relieves my blocked nose. Lavender and Tea Tree will also be a helpful one. For the full list of Essential Oils that might help with Hay Fever and Allergy symptoms, please click here

I hope these tips will help you enjoy the Spring Season to the fullest!

Keep well! 💙💚
