Does Heppi Jug remove Fluoride ?

Heppi Jug is not a Fluoride Removal device. A filter this size of any brand will not be able to effectively remove fluoride, although some other brands will advertise it as “Remove Fluoride Up to 99%”. We recommend the following product that is able to remove Fluoride and is a Premium Water Filtration Product. https://www.heppi.com.au/collections/kyk/products/kykhisha

What does Heppi Water taste like?

Heppi Water will taste different from your tap water, because it has removed the contaminants. Most users will find Heppi Water taste light, clean and very pleasant to drink. It makes them want to drink more.

I don’t like the taste of Heppi Water

As with everything new, our taste buds need some time to get used to the new water. 14 days is usually what it takes for our taste bud to accept the new taste of water. In the meantime, you can help by infusing the water with fruits like lemon, strawberry, orange.

The water tastes ‘off’

Please make sure that the filtered water is regularly consumed. Do not let the filtered water stay for more than 1 day. Chlorine which acts as preservative in the water has been filtered out and naked water in prolonged storage can build up harmful bacteria that causes the water to taste off.

There are black residues in filtered water

The black residue is a sign that the filter is not fully alive. Please kindly follow the procedure below to prepare the filter :

  1. Shake filter 20 times
  2. Immerse in cold tap water for 15 minutes
  3. Screw the filter to the reservoir
  4. Fill the jug and discard water, twice.
  5. The third time is good to go.
  6. When filling the reservoir with tap water, please aim the water to the top of the filter. The water pressure will assist in optimising the performance.

My filter is clogged, what should I do?

Clogged filter is usually a sign that the filter is not well activated, it may need a few more attempts to make it alive and ready to use.

We have a few suggestions for you to solve clogged filter below :

  1. Shake the filter about 20 times
  2. Immerse in cold water 15 minutes
  3. Attach to the reservoir and start filling with tap water
  4. When filling, always aim the water to the top of the filter, to help unclog the filter.
